And the game is on again
Sep. 15th, 2025 05:39 pm Hubby has started never-ending water games inside the house, not to speak of those outside, because he is disassembling the pool tools. And all that because he had been bored. Today he installed a new thermostatic valve on the radiatior in daughter's room. Refilled the water. I was the one to control the venting. Result: now it's the venting valve which is leaking. I am torn between going crazy and giving up. Hubby said it was the one valve that had a different screw. Aha. Why has he bought it then? We are back to the old venting valve, but now the radiator itself seems to leak. Must be fed off with hubby's repair work and opted for an instant death. I am hoping for a long, sunny and warm autumn and a plumber, who is ready to do such minor repair work before winter comes...
I have been scrubbing the wooden corner bench and the table in the conservatory in the morning. Got attacked by spiders twice but had insect spray within reach. Die, spiders, die! No one has invited you inside! I was not able to wax the wood, because hubby had bought a detergent for wood cleaning but forgot about the wax for impregnating. After so much excitement I did a plain lunch- potato soup with Frankfurter. That's Wiener Würstchen,
wiseheart, but since no one in the West is dumb enough to be fond of Vienna we call the sausages Frankfurter. Once the Frankfurter were filled with pork meat only, but not anymore, so no protesting on behalf of our German neighbours. After lunch I took a lengthy time-out with napping and crocheting. The sun was hiding behind the mountain range at four thirty, from the on lights had to be on in the studio, else I would not have found the letters on the keyboard for typing. No strong winds until then, but they say that there´ll be thunderstorms in the evening- nothing in comparison to the thunderstorm that is brewing inside!
Never watch and try out reels about taking better pictures with your mobile. I had been doing so then was searching for the features praised in those reels. This morning I wanted to take a picture of the sunny landscape with the first trees slowly but surely presenting their yellowish leaves. I had time delay turned on. Had switched to night modus. And I was no more able to zoom because of the image definition. But now that my mobile will reach its end soon I get a better grasp at things I should have learned way earlier. Learning by googling- haha!
Daughter has now parted with her friends- one is going back to Salzburg, the other will separate from dear Hannah in Istanbul, going straight to London. Oh, to be young and feel free again... Daughter got picked up at Osaka Airport by her schoolfriend. The first picture she sent me was about food. Ha! Was able to identify it all by myself- okonomiyaki is a food I can do quite well!
