It´s done!
Sep. 13th, 2025 05:41 pm I had about 50 pieces left with the jigsaw of doom. Morning light did not help today, so I did housework first then had my daily shower. Then a short rest, which I needed after a night with horrid dreams. Then putting things I intended to use for lunch back into fridge and drawers- husband mine wanted meat, meat he had found in the freezer some minutes ago. So while I am not averse to eating meat, pork neck is definitely not my favourite. Finally, while the meat got defrosted, I tackled the jigsaw. All parts in their place save for the two missing, but I had expected the outcome. I took the rug to shake it before beating, and there they wrre- jigsaw completed.

Not much got done otherwise. I have continued with crocheting the throw, had a phone call with a friend who wants to meet with me, another one with sister mine who is holidaying in Switzerland then a last one with daughter, who wanted to know if or if not she could put her jeans into the dryer, because the tag said no, but she remembered that I had very well done so. That girl drives me crazy, even from afar!
After so much excitement I put my phone onto the kitchen table. Hubby, always looking for new work, took a box and put things he´d bring to the recycling yard on Monday into it- mostly old phones, tablets and earphones. I think you already know where this is going- I finally found my phone in the box. To hubby´s defence I have to admit that all of the phones were still in their covers, which are different shades of brown. Later hubby and I cleared the terrace of things which might fly off- we got warned that more of those strong winds were on the horizon. Hubby also nailed two loose shingles to the garage. Had to climb up a ladder to get onto the canopy- and guess what he found there: one of the work gloves he had been using yesterday but did not find today. So we now know what those critters do when partying on the roof! Abduction of gloves, what a hobby...
