It wasn´t to be...

Daughter is royally pissed that England did not win, but I think it´s okay this way. Has not been their best game this time. I think I had a bit too much wine and did not even make it to the end of the game but retreated to the bedroom. I never watch extra time. Bedtime for me usually is at half past nine, a whole game lasts until eleven o´clock, and that´s when I am wiped out. As I said, no extra time for me...
Number four and five have started holiday work. Son came back with a bandaged finger. He managed to cut it with a Stanley knife. This one better wear a full-body protective suit for work. Not that there´s dangerous work to do, but son is a bit clumsy. No, not clumsy, but he lacks in concentration. Always wants to be the fastest. Tried the same with my car, but only once. Got banned from using our cars until his driving was more precautious.
I fear this summer will turn out as meagre as last year´s one. One day warm on the border to hot, one day only just okay, three days cold and wet. Not nice when you are bound to stay at home taking care of senile cats and a grandchild. Where the heck have those endless weeks of summer with next to no rain and hot temperatures gone?
