Oh, wow, rain!

We had a huge thunderstorm in the evening. Thunder and strong winds made our shutters rattle, so it had to be an impressive one. Rain? For about twenty minutes maybe, and it was more like a drizzle. Thunderstorm stayed way longer. Hubby had to dash outside, to retrieve pool items and the like. I wish there'd be less thunder and more rain, though after one hour of loud clashing in set a light but steady rainfall, which lasted until the early morning hours. It's fine with me, nature needs more water. In the morning we realised that not that much had come from above- we could see it on the water line of the pool. I will gladly endure the warm weather for some more days, because from Friday on we will get the typical weather for early autumn, with cool temperatures and rain aplenty. It would have been fine with me to have more days of summer, but there's an end to every good thing. The heat warning for temperatures of 27 degrees seems a bit exaggerated to me! Statistic says, that contrary to big parts of Europe, we only had seven days over thirty and only three tropical nights with temperatures over twenty degrees- a typical summer for the region I live in. Only that we had less rain, which has been a blessing!
From now on I will have to investigate more time in my knitting project. I really hate this one, with all those threads on the inside. Maybe I should do an inner lining! Next week I will also have to decide on this year's Christmas embroidery pattern and do a trip to the shop, to buy embroidery cotton, before all elderly women are going for it!
Hubby is upset, because our pool sports yellow spots on the bottom, which definitely are no algae. He has driven to the pool shop two hours ago and has not been seen again until yet. The problem has to be a heavy one, like a pandemic for swimming pools. Neighbour's pool is sick, too, with the same illness. I did google a bit and found an article about salt and chemistry reacting to well water, which is higher on iron and other metal than water from the tap. Now I will sit on the terrace and wait for husband's return, to tell him what I found in the WWW
